Protein Bundt cake with 11g protein per piece!

  • 1 1/4 cups oat flour
  • 1 cup “ Vegan Protein ” from Athletic Supplements (chocolate flavor)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ground nuts (walnuts or almonds depending on your preference)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan oven) and thoroughly grease a Bundt cake tin.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the oat flour, Athletic Supplements Vegan Protein, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and a pinch of salt.

  3. In another bowl, mash the two ripe bananas into a pulp. Add the applesauce, maple syrup or agave syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract and almond milk. Stir everything well until the mixture is smooth.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth dough forms.

  5. Gently fold the ground nuts and dark chocolate chips into the batter.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt cake pan.

  7. Bake the cake for about 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake.

  8. Allow the cake to cool in the tin before carefully turning it out.

  9. Optionally, you can spread the cake with melted chocolate (not listed in the ingredients - this changes the nutritional values).
